With the development of technology every company is focusing on the improvement of small devices like phones, tabs etc. In this hustle, one thing that is not improving with time is laptops. Laptops are being used in everyday work by almost everyone. It is a bit disappointing that not much improvement has been done in their case and they are as expensive as always.
When Chromebooks were launched, they were accepted with much enthusiasm because they were based on google’s chrome browser. These Chromebooks were launched by Microsoft which gave its users much more simplified version of android apps. They were easy to use and much more comfortable to port than the laptops. Google used to design it’s softwares and left the designing of laptops to other companies like Asus, Samsung. But Google has now launched its own laptop called Pixelbook. Google designed this laptop with high technology and with advanced softwares.
Apps in Chromebooks were limited and they had limited use. They only attracted crowd because they were cheap and Google’s powerful software was secure. Google Pixelbook comes with higher prices than many Chromebooks but it is the better version of Chromebooks.

Comparison between Chromebook and Pixelbook

● Chromebooks could only play limited apps in the chrome browser which was a drawback. Pixelbook let the users use all the current apps they can use on a mobile phone.
● In the older version apps appeared in a small size in a rectangular shape, just like they appear in the a mobile phone. With the newer version apps would be resizable according to the laptop's screen size.
● Pixelbook gave the higher version of apps that could do much more than they could do in Chromebook. For example the Netflix app allowed user to download shows so they can later watch them offline.
● The Pixelbook has a google assistant button that helps the user with the device. This button is useful for the user who spend so much time on laptop and could use some help.
● Pixelbook’s hardware is sharper and brighter than Chromebook. It has 12.3 inch touch screen. It’s keyboard is thinner than of a normal laptop keyboard.

Pixelbook qualities

● If you want to interact with the pad more you can buy a pen and use it as a writing and drawing tool. It is comfortable to use and it has easy grip.
● Battery life of Pixelbook is average. It needs recharging in around seven hours.
● Pixelbook can be converted in a tablet by folding it.
● Weight of Pixelbook is 2.5 pounds and because of this weight it can not be used as a tablet for longer time.
● Pixelbook show some problems when it was converted back to laptop mode. Keyboard is not responding usually but restarting solves the problem.

Pixelbook comes with great features. You may say that it's selling point is its hardware. The problem is with its price; $1000 for a Pixelbook might be a little bit expensive comparing that its a limited device and does not do all the work a laptop can do. There are a lot more nicer devices which can be bought in same amount and is much more capable of doing things. It’s a great laptop for writing and could be used by people who write papers.
